@LiteracyLau I never struggled going out of the country- but I did coming back in. Birth certificates with my name on stating I am the mother were helpful. One time in France she was taken to the side and questioned when she was about 7 years old. 👍

I've known @emma_au_soleil for about 6 years now.
Her articulation of the issues around the motherhood penalty in education continue to astound and inspire me.
Let's do something about this #edutwitter.
Let's be BOLD. @mtpt_project@WomenEd
It should be obvious that women, who make up three quarters of the teachers in the UK, should be able to work as teachers and if they have children, be able to take care of them. This should not be difficult to understand. The working reality of being a teacher must change.
It was a privilege to be interviewed by @BBCNews for this. I love my job and love being a parent; finding the balance is tough. Thank you to @mtpt_project for keeping me in the profession I love and @AnnaCMcShane for helping shine a light on this. @WeAreNewBritain

Feeling privileged to have had my voice heard in this article. Thank you @bbceducation for shining a light on this. And a huge thank you to @mtpt_project for keeping me in the profession and loving my job again!
So important this issue of retention is having some light shone upon it. If you are struggling with the teacher- parent load, I recommend getting in touch with @mtpt_project; without them, I feel I may have added to the shocking number of women leaving the profession.
Does anyone know of a school mixing reception with year 1 and it working well? Without the teacher feeling complete burnout? Would love to know more about how it could work. Please get in touch
Amazing @mtpt_project coffee morning at @coramsfields today. Such an amazing venue in London for families and feeling so privileged to be representing this growing community of parent teachers. You inspire me daily!
I am excited to be hosting our second North London @mtpt_project coffee morning @coramsfields. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and also welcoming new people to the community. All parent-teachers and their children welcome. Get in touch for more details.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Sustain and Grow workshops with @mtpt_project. It is so encouraging to connect with other teacher-parents who know exactly how I am feeling. This is well-being! I highly recommend.

This my story and mine alone - but @mtptproject and @WeAreNewBritain want to hear yours
If you left teaching between the ages of 30 - 39 please share your story so we can understand why so many left and if there is anything we can do to support more to stay
