It’s apparent that the new wave of Christianity is the rebuking of those with the gift of discernment.

I deleted “YouVersion” a couple years ago—from the beginning I never cared for the name, it reeks of the “self help” spirituality section of the book store. It’s all about how “you” perceive yourself and the world instead of how God sees it.

In addition, I’ve never liked the word “version”, it implies a perception rather than a language translation.

The devil is a very intelligent schemer who only needs a “toe in the door” in order to muddy the waters of doctrine.

For those of us who are mature in the Word, we’re called to protect those who are still infants in their walk with Christ.

In order to please the masses, I would predict that sometime in the future, the YouVersion app will include the book of Mormon and then the Quran.
