Healthcare in the Philippines is bad.

Joddel arrived in Manila from Nueva Ecija last November 26. Joddel is living with CKD Stage 5, and her peritoneal dialysis access has malfunctioned. This access is essential, it is her only means to receive dialysis, and without it, her condition becomes critical.

Despite arriving on November 26, she has yet to be admitted. As of this writing, no hospital bed has been made available, leaving her to wait on a wheelchair.

This situation is heartbreaking and deeply concerning. Patients like Joddel should not have to endure delays that compromise their health and dignity.

Our healthcare system must do better. Lulamaban po ang mga bata, sana ilaban nyo rin sila. 🥲
