G*nocide of dogs in India - An ever growing collection:
This post is a collection of news articles of brutal mass m*rders of dogs in India in recent times, for most of which, the perpetrators will easily go unpunished or they may end up paying a fine of Rs. 50/- (less than one U.S. Dollar), as per Indian laws which treat an animal life worth less than a U.S. Dollar. I am creating a separate thread on individual dog m*rders or killings. This thread is about mass m*rders.
Human animal conflict remains, in India (it can very well be reduced a lot, following scientific humane ways). Stray dog population has risen, no doubt. But far from finding out reason behind the rise and behind the attacks, the failure of system, failure to recognize the work done by individuals which the system should have done, and punishing the same individuals, has been the norm. Understanding animal behaviour and thinking with a non-entitled, kind and compassionate mindset, lawful enforcement could have been done, which could have led to drastic reduction of population of dogs over a decade. But, as usual, the Indian mindset, believing in knee jerk sudden reactions, without foresight, without consulting experts (everyone is an expert today, in a WhatsApp world) has decided to act with hate, violence, mob mentality (aided and abetted by the Supreme Court) resulting a huge number of m*rders of innocent docile dogs, k1lled with impunity and vengeance, amounting to nothing short of g*nocide.
When a dog bites a human, it’s usually due to abuse the dog has faced, and the bites are more of an instinct reaction to abuse. (Remember, dogs have an IQ equivalent to a 2 years old human child). But when a man kills a dog, beating it brutally with iron rods, or burning it alive etc., the qualities of man evident are hatred, vengeance, ruthlessness, extraordinary sadism, brutality and is done with clenched teeth and red eyes. That’s the difference. Those who may not have done the m!rder but support it, hold the same mindset.
So here is collection of recent outright g*nocide of dogs in India, emboldened and abetted by the Supreme Court orders which are devoid of any understanding and full of hate and vengeance, against both dogs and those who care for dogs.
Note: in many cases, MSM don’t report and in those cases, relevant tweets have been linked. you can just read the headings, to quickly scroll through.
I have turned off replies, as I need to keep adding more and more.

This Is Why The Indian System Is Rotten To The Core.
There Is No Accountability.
Israel dropped a bomb on Mona’s home in Mansouri, South Lebanon, today.
Mona is not a fighter.
She is an environmental activist who dedicated her life to protecting endangered sea turtles.
Because of Israel, Mona is now fighting for her life in a hospital bed.

Israel has a policy called “administrative detention” that allows them to kidnap Palestinians and imprison them for 6 month increments without any charges whatsoever. These holdings can drag out for years.
Over 3,000 Palestinians were being held on administrative detention in Israeli prisons on October 7. That’s why Hamas took all those Israelis back to Gaza. To exchange for their release.
But do you see how that works? When Israel kidnaps people and holds them for months and years on end, they are simply “prisoners on administrative detention.” But when Hamas does it, they are “hostages.”

Animal feeder Payal Chavan's family were assaulted inside their home after years of caring for community dogs. Despite multiple FIRs over the years, the harassment continues, with dogs being chased away, forced into the heat, and denied rest.
An FIR has finally been registered with the help of Animal Welfare Officer Heer Rajput. Now action must follow.
@MumbaiPolice@CPMumbaiPolice pls protect the complainant, her family, and the community animals. Repeat offenders must not be allowed to operate with impunity!
Political leaders should recognise that hatred, failure to provide justice without bias, or suspending human rights, will only generate more abuse and eventually could even lead to public rage.

Why isn't the country's national media, the 'mainstream' media covering the Congress protests over the NEET paper leak? Desh ke logon ko toh pata hi nahi chal raha ki opposition baccho ke liye aawaz uthane pe, sadkon par water cannons kha rahi hai!
A person travelling with his wife & child stops for checking. He starts recording.Instead of accountability, he gets assaulted.Since when filming officials become a crime? If a camera threatens authority more than lawbreakers do,the problem isn't the citizen. Policing cannot mean intimidation & violence. @GargiRawat
One moment, you call them your partners in farming.
You depend on them to plough your fields, carry your burdens, and work tirelessly under the scorching sun. They help grow the food that reaches our tables. They give their strength, their sweat, and often their entire lives in service to humans.
And then, the moment they become exhausted and collapse from fatigue, pain, or weakness, they are beaten mercilessly.
This heartbreaking bull collapsed while working in the field, yet instead of receiving compassion, he was met with blows and cruelty.
Imagine working until your body gives up, only to be punished for being unable to continue.
These gentle souls cannot speak. They cannot cry for help. They cannot tell us how much pain they are in. All they can do is silently endure.
For generations, animals have been used for agricultural work, but incidents like these force us to ask a difficult question: how much longer should animals be made to bear such suffering?
Far too many working animals are pushed beyond their limits, denied adequate rest, proper medical care, and basic kindness. Many spend their lives working endless hours, only to be treated as tools instead of living, feeling beings.
This is not discipline.
This is not farming.
This is cruelty.
No animal deserves to be beaten for being tired.
No animal deserves to suffer because humans lack patience and compassion.
The pain in this bull's eyes is heartbreaking. We must do better. We must remember that these animals are not machines. They are living beings capable of fear, pain, exhaustion, and suffering.
Compassion is the least we owe them.

🚨 MUMBAI, WE NEED YOU. NOW. 🚨
Animal feeder Payal in Chembur Mumbai has been brutally assaulted simply because she feeds and cares for community dogs. P P Chawan
After the attack, she was taken to hospital by the police and Nirbhaya Van for medical examination and injury documentation. However, despite her request to be taken to senior officers, she has been brought back to a local police station where she does not feel safe and where support has been lacking. Shoba Menon Varsha Vartikar Pillai
Today, this is not just about Payal.
It is about every feeder, rescuer, activist and compassionate citizen who has ever stood up for animals.
If one feeder can be surrounded, threatened and attacked inside her own home for showing kindness, then none of us can afford to remain silent.
I am requesting all rescuers, activists, lawyers, citizens, media personnel and animal lovers across Mumbai to come forward and stand in solidarity with Payal and her son Pranay.
Your presence matters.
Your voice matters.
Your support matters.
Please share this post widely until help reaches them.
An attack on one feeder is an attack on compassion itself.
