"She knows she's not perfect. She knows she's difficult but she needs to remember to acknowledge that, and meet in the middle instead of walking all over them."
Story of my life.
I promised myself I would not turn this account into an unhinged VerKwan think tank, but I physically cannot function after this, so let’s talk about the logistics of South Korean basic military training regulations to cope.
According to the Military Manpower Administration, recruits get one hour of personal phone access on weekends and public holidays during basic training. That’s it. Not one hour per call, but 60 precious minutes to check life updates, sift through dozens of notifications, reply to messages, call family and friends, and do whatever else they need to do before the phones are collected again.
And Vernon spent part of that very limited 60-minute window talking to Seungkwan while apparently drowning in notifications, only for Seungkwan to realize the math in real time and basically go, “wait, you only get one hour, GO ANSWER YOUR MESSAGES 😭”
Normal people see a short phone call. I am over here cross-referencing military regulations and calculating time allocation to justify why Vernon choosing to spend part of his one-hour phone window talking to Seungkwan is the most romantic thing I have ever witnessed.
Please take my internet access away😭
