@TeachProbs775 We're on vacation right now & the East coast trip to Japan, was pretty long. We hit some rough turbulence around the skies over PA for maybe 5 minutes & I was reevaluating my life's decisions.
Overall, a really good flight but I hate turbulence.
@TeachProbs775 Same. Never made a big deal when ours moved up grades / schools. We also never took those "first - last day of grades XXX pictures." My son started to detest taking pictures somewhere around his late middle school years.
Eating breakfast at a nearby restaurant.
My child: Wow, portions are really small.
Me: ...as Americans, we're the chonkies here.
When we get back home, we really need to reevaluate our diet. Good lord, we're obese here!
We made our way to Tokyo! Tired from a 14-ish hour flight (DC to Tokyo) to mess around with trains, so a local cab it is. Fare wasn't bad & we were promptly dropped off at the hotel.
So, packing our luggage & R sees it & finally admits he's nervous about our upcoming trip. I sat down with him & we talked while I listened to his concerns. I'm thankful I have a child who isn't afraid to tell me what's bothering him.
@LightLoveTeach I wish you peace in your heart & lightness in your soul. Definitely a change & you've got my support, sis! Also: lots of digital hugs ๐
So in May, our son graduated high school with honors as well as graduating with an A.A. degree from the Early College program, so as a grad gift to him, we're surprising him with a trip very, very soon. He has no idea where we are going. Stay tuned!
Offered to help babysit newborn twins.
They were exhausting.
I now have a profound respect for parents of multiples, especially those with kiddos under the age of 2.
Of course we're going to have PLCs on the Wednesday before Spring Break, in the middle of testing, formal observations, & IPDPs. Let's not forget the teachers who have back-to-back IEP meetings.
