It was a pleasure to welcome James Lawless TD, Minister for the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science @DeptofFHed, to @QUBelfast today for his first official engagement in #NorthernIreland.

Minister Lawless met with some of our students from the Republic of Ireland, who were funded by the Irish Government to study #Medicine and #Nursing at Queen’s. We are proud to play a key role in addressing #Healthcare workforce needs across the island of Ireland, through this important initiative.

He also toured our world-class facilities, including the two all-island #Research centres on #Climate and #SustainableFood. These are important collaborations which highlight what we can achieve together.
