Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (as) said,

"I had gone with my Father (i.e. Ali ibn Husain (as) to the Ka'bah and He prayed at red marble between the 2 columns and then said:

"In this place the people made a contract, that if the Messenger of Allah (S) died or was killed,

they would never ever let the command (i.e. Khilafat) return to anyone from His AhlulBayt (as)"

I asked, "And Who were those people?"

Imam Ali ibn Husain (as) said, "The first one (Abu Bakr), the second one (Umar), Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah and Salim bin al-Habebah."

From the Dua taught by Imam Mahdi (as) that reached us through the first Safeer of the Imam:

"You, O Lord, are the One who removes evil, and answers the distressed when he calls upon You, and saves from the great affliction.

Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) instructed Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) to bury her at night and not allow those who had wronged her to attend her funeral or offer prayers over her body.

In Al-Kafi, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) is reported to have said that Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) lived for a short time after the passing of The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and that Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) buried her at night.

If it were not for Imam Aliع, no one today would bear witness that there is no God but Allahس and that Muhammadص is His Messenger.

Lady Fatimah Zahra (pbuh) is reported to have said:

Whoever sends peace and blessings upon me or upon Ali for three days, Allah will grant him Paradise.

She was asked, Does this apply during your lifetime and the lifetime of Ali? She replied, Yes, and after our passing as well.
