Based on what I gather from @IxSwap and the #IXS community so far:

Apparently, $IXS experienced a hack where the staking contracts on Base were compromised.

Around 4 million tokens were dumped as a result of this incident, leading to a significant dip in the token's value.

IX Swap has acknowledged the hack, paused the affected Base contract, and started recovery efforts.

They have indicated that the treasury tokens will be used to compensate stakers without increasing the token supply through minting, thus avoiding dilution.

The incident is under investigation to determine the exact cause, despite the contracts having been previously audited.

The team has also communicated that they are in touch with law enforcement regarding this matter.
