The Democratic Party of Albania demands transparency regarding Edi Rama’s contract with the Greek private partner Aktor and the natural gas transmission company Albgaz, under which Aktor will secure a supply contract for liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
The United States is our strategic partner and the greatest friend of the Albanian people. However, the contract was arranged through an intermediary, a Greek company, even though in 2020 Albania signed an MoU with the energy giant ExxonMobil for the very same purpose, which Edi Rama has now delegated to the Greek company.
Aktor Group has provided no guarantees as to how it will physically deliver liquefied natural gas to Albania by 2030!
Albanians must be informed whether the American side was aware of this contract.
Why was the contract not concluded directly with the U.S. Department of Energy?
Why did Edi Rama and the Albanian government make the contract “binding” when, according to The Wall Street Journal, Albania is the only country that has accepted this condition?!
We call on SPAK to investigate this agreement, as an important step toward ensuring the necessary and comprehensive cooperation with our strategic ally, the United States.
There are strong suspicions that the “credentials” stemming from the vision of the Vertical Gas Corridor, aimed at achieving independence from Russian gas supplies, have been misused by narrow local and regional interests, to the detriment of the security of supply that the U.S. government sought to achieve.
The head of Europe’s first narco-state, Edi Rama, who in 2016 described President Donald J. Trump on CNN as a disgrace to world civilization and a threat to bilateral Albania–U.S. relations, who bribed the notorious FBI agent Charles McGonigal to eliminate the Albanian opposition, and who is George Soros’s most trusted soldier in Europe, has never been and can never be a reliable partner for the strategic interests of our ally, the United States!
It has been two weeks since the wave of police terror against university students, young people, and high school students began, yet the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has still not detained a single police officer, commander, or superior directly involved in or responsible for ordering the brutal violence that left dozens injured.
In just two weeks, thugs in and out of uniform detained and arrested 1,000 young people, including 250 minors, in an inhumane operation carried out solely to keep Edi Rama in power.
Despite this massive crime scene, not a single police officer has been detained, even though the evidence and eyewitness accounts have been seen by Albanians across the country.
How much longer does Tirana Prosecutor Arenc Çela need to do the job he is paid to do?!
It has been 13 days of barbaric violence by Edi Rama’s police against students and young people, with thugs in uniform, acting on the orders of the head of the criminal organization, turning Tirana into a crime scene every single night.
The most flagrant cases have been witnessed by the public and documented on video, including the shooting of 28-year-old Erjon Vishkulli in the eye with a rubber bullet, putting his eyesight at risk, and several instances of people lying unconscious on the ground being brutally beaten.
Despite all these serious crimes, the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has still taken no action. Prosecutor Arenc Çela witnesses these crimes every day, yet fails to fulfill his duty. His inaction has only further emboldened Edi Rama’s thugs to attack citizens.
When does the Tirana Prosecutor intend to enforce the law and carry out his duty???
For 13 days, he has failed to act, making himself an accomplice in these unlawful acts.

Rama dreams of becoming Lukashenko! He is escalating violence, control, and censorship against citizens.
After intensifying violence against citizens, causing serious injuries and health consequences for many young people, students, and protesters, Edi Rama now has an even darker plan. He wants to impose multimillion-lek fines on those who stand up against him and increase censorship of those who write or call for action against him.
The package of amendments to the Criminal Code he presented today aims to put an end to protests and bring social media under his control, giving him the power to decide what can and cannot be published.
This scheme extinguishes the last remaining freedoms in this country and officially establishes a dictatorship.
The restrictions he seeks to impose on freedom of expression and freedom of assembly violate fundamental human rights and freedoms and contradict the norms, principles, and values of the Europe we aspire to join.
If he thinks he can cling to power by increasing violence and control, censorship and punishment, he is mistaken.
Europe’s most corrupt Prime Minister has his days numbered because the entire nation has turned against him. Even if he turns into Lukashenko, he will not be able to hold on to power or escape the justice that awaits him.
Good news that Erjon Vishkulli will undergo a specialized medical procedure in Rome to remove the rubber bullet that struck him in the eye yesterday as a result of the barbarity and brutality of Edi Rama’s police.
Bad news that the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has still not arrested a single one of the thugs in uniform who viciously attacked citizens and peaceful protesters yesterday.
The serious crimes committed yesterday in Tirana on Edi Rama’s orders, all to keep him in power, demand justice, and without delay.
We hope and pray that doctors in Tirana and Italy will save Erjon’s eyesight, while demanding that Tirana Prosecutor Arenc Çela fulfill his duty and deliver justice for Erjon and the dozens of citizens who were brutally beaten and injured yesterday by the gang in uniform.
Where are the Tirana Prosecutor and the Prosecutor General hiding? Why aren't they arresting the police officers and their superiors for the serious crimes committed today in Tirana?!
Artur Prifti, head of the Rapid Intervention Forces (FNSH), the thug who today ordered attacks on young people and ordered citizens to be shot in the face and eyes with rubber bullets, should already be in handcuffs!
Tirana has today been turned into a massive crime scene, where thugs in uniform have brutally assaulted dozens of citizens with rubber bullets, batons, tear gas, and toxic substances, leaving them injured and unconscious.
According to sources, the young man who was shot in the eye with a rubber bullet risks losing his eyesight, while the emergency department is filled with citizens suffering injuries to their bodies and heads.
Faced with this massive crime scene, Tirana Prosecutor Arenc Çela and Prosecutor General Olsian Çela should already have begun their work and fulfilled their duties!
Within Arenc Çela's jurisdiction, police officers and their superiors, whose identities are known and established, have committed serious crimes.
The Tirana Prosecutor should have signed several arrest warrants by now.
His silence and inaction are criminal as well.
By failing to fulfill his duty, Tirana Prosecutor Arenc Çela is becoming an accomplice in this massacre against young people, university students, schoolchildren, minors, parents, and the citizens of Tirana.
Enough is enough. NO MORE!!!
Lying unconscious on the ground, a citizen continues to be brutally beaten with rubber batons. This is the violence and hatred Edi Rama is spreading everywhere, just to cling to power!
On Edi Rama’s orders, the police escalated their violence to another level today, attacking every protester, every citizen on the Boulevard. The order is clear: SPARE NO ONE!
This order to spare no one is being carried out with tear gas, toxic substances, high-pressure water cannons, and rubber bullets.
Edi Rama deepened his conflict with Albanians today by violently suppressing an entirely peaceful protest.
He believes that through force, he can make young people back down and force citizens to stay at home. The truth is that young people and the majority of the population are even more determined to remove Europe’s most corrupt Prime Minister from power.
The criminal violence Edi Rama is now unleashing against young people, families, students, and children who are protesting entirely peacefully reveals his true face.
A corrupt hypocrite who talks about dialogue, but when he is rejected with contempt, unleashes tear gas, toxic substances, high-pressure water cannons, and stun grenades against the people.
These acts prove that he wants war.
Citizens were simply marching together peacefully, doing nothing wrong. But just because they have united and filled the square, Edi Rama attacks them. This reveals his weakness and the strength of the people.
The tyrant, deeply entangled in corruption scandals and crime, has his days numbered.
I'm watching with concern the escalating protests in Albania. People take to the streets when their government is not responsive to the public’s needs. The right to peacefully protest is protected under international law. The government must halt violence against protestors, safeguard rule of law, and listen to the people’s aspirations.

Etiketimet për protestën si e organizuar nga ANTIFA, është një Griseldë e dytë. Të rinjtë janë ngritur kundër korrupsionit të Edi Ramës! Antifa ekziston vetëm në mendjen e sëmurë të kryeministrit!
I have heard from my Albanian-American constituents in the NY-17 who are deeply concerned about the ongoing protests in Albania and what this means for the future of democracy in the country. I stand with my constituents and with the Albanian people.
Every government, especially democracies and NATO allies must respect the right of its people to peacefully protest and express their views. I urge the Albanian government to immediately de-escalate tensions and end the use of force against peaceful protesters.
Edi Rama’s order to suspend me from Parliament for 60 days is a continuation of his violence in the streets, by other means.
He did not want Parliament to discuss the university students, the high school students, his corruption, or the nationwide demand for his resignation.
This measure is a brutal interference with and restriction of the mandate entrusted to me by the citizens. The same absurd measure has also been imposed on five of my colleagues.
Whenever I am in Parliament, I will speak for students and young people, and I will not tolerate the disgraceful behavior of those rubber-stamp MPs who turn a blind eye to what is happening and serve as mere lackeys of the corrupt autocrat.
No suspension ordered by Edi Rama will divert us from our national mission: overthrowing the regime he has established.
The last autocrat in the Balkans will soon end up where he belongs: in prison.
Just as Edi Rama stood by his twin during difficult times, undermining the interests of the Albanian nation and Kosovo, the time has come for brother Vučić to return the favor.
Belgrade’s resigned autocrat praises the autocrat still in office in Tirana and scolds him for being too soft on students.
Both will meet the same fate!
Over the last few days, I’ve gotten a bunch of concerned calls from Michiganders about the escalating violence in Albania, among other European countries.
The Albanian people have the right to protest peacefully and hold their elected officials accountable. Likewise, the Albanian government has a duty to uphold the rule of law, protect protestors against the excessive use of police force, clean up corruption, and respond to citizens’ concerns. I urge both sides to do all they can to deescalate and find a peaceful way to move forward.
