Thank you to the @SusanGKomen foundation for all of their help & support of H297 - Breast Cancer Imaging Parity. We're building momentum to get it passed this year! #ncpol#ncga
So excited to join @CharlotteTalks on @WFAE this morning for the first time as a solo guest! We're discussing the implementation of #IrynasLaw, our missing #StateBudget, and how the Progressive House Caucus adds to the policy conversation in Raleigh. #ncpol
My biggest supporter came with me to file for next year's election! Looking forward to earning the honor of representing the people of the 88th District for another two years. #Election2026#ncpol#CLT#cltnews
NC #Democrats came to work in Raleigh today, ready to protect healthcare for thousands of NC families and fully fund #Medicaid - or maybe pass a #budget. Our GOP colleagues were nowhere to be found. #ncpol#ncga

If Republicans in NC think they're doing such a good job, why do they seen so scared of the voters?
Fund #Medicaid. Pass a #Budget. Do your job. #ncpol#ncga

Republicans in NC have written a bare bones budget on the heels of National Republicans slashing Medicaid. More tax cuts for the rich while Trump and Musk cut federal funding. The GOP cannot fund state agencies just enough to keep NC’s head above water with storms on the horizon.
The truth is that if legislative leaders wanted to improve public schools, they have had ample opportunity. Instead, they have chosen to strangle them with a lack of funding and micro-management & I refuse to be a part of it.
If legislators are really convinced that charter and private schools with fewer requirements and restrictions work better, then why aren't they removing requirements and restrictions from the way counties run their public schools?
For the first time in 125 years, elections in NC will no longer be overseen by a governor elected by the people, but by partisan operatives handpicked by a Republican state auditor, thanks to an anonymous, unexplained, two-sentence court order. 🧵
