Join Stacey Abrams and I for an evening of meaningful conversation on courage, community, and the call to action this November. We hope you'll be part of it!

Tonight, I joined voters in 50 locations across North Carolina to talk about the importance of this year’s judicial races and why every vote matters.
Thank you to our outstanding judicial candidates, volunteers, and everyone who joined us virtually.
Last night was an incredible show of support for the NC Senate Democratic Caucus. As we pass day 300 without a state budget, teachers and state workers are still on 2023 pay facing 2026 costs. Voices like @PeteButtigieg lifting up NC matter more than ever.
North Carolina deserves a budget and we have a plan on the table. With just 6 Senate Republicans joining Senate Democrats, we can negotiate and pass a budget that moves our state forward. It’s time. Make your voice heard and urge Republican legislators to act in this new session.
This week, I participated in a Women in Politics panel as part of Senator Jeanne Lucas’ commemorative week. Thank you to the students of NC Central for leading a great conversation!
This Women’s History Month, I’m reflecting on the women who led even when not invited… Ann Atwater, Sarah Keys Evans, Harriet Morehead Berry. Their courage shaped NC. Women already lead. Now, will we make space for more to do so?
I visited the Carolina Panthers stadium and met with leadership to discuss their vision for the future. From major renovations to an impressive lineup of sporting events and concerts, they’re working to transform the stadium into a premier entertainment destination for the city!
Primary Elections are coming! Mark your calendar for March 3rd and make your voice heard. Remember to bring your ID, voters are required to show it at the polls!
Last night, our District 17 community experienced a devastating fire at the Camden Westwood Apartments in Morrisville. This is a painful moment for our district. But it is also a reminder of who we are.
When crisis hits, we show up.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Today we honor Dr. King’s vision of love, justice, peace, courageous leadership and service by choosing to serve others. Not just today, but every day.
I have no doubt that Justice Earls is going to kick cancer's ass while winning re-election to the Supreme Court. I'm proud to support her and look forward to continuing to fight alongside her to protect justice for all North Carolinians. #ncpol
Like so many North Carolinians, I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Governor Jim Hunt, one of the greatest public servants to ever serve the state of North Carolina.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hunt family during this difficult time.
On Wednesday, North Carolinians filled the NCGA to tell the truth about the devastating costs of having no state budget. Check out this week's Batch Brief and watch the full “No Budget Hearing” video so you can see & share these incredible stories.

Silence is not neutrality, it is complicity. Read Leader Sydney Batch's full statement on the ongoing federal immigration raids across North Carolina. #ncpol
From local election wins that prove voters are rejecting Republican extremism... To 130 days without a budget and a looming Medicaid funding crisis... To dinosaurs, short stories, and more!

NEW: A special edition of the Batch Brief is out. Let’s stop pretending this isn’t what it is. Republicans, nationally and here in NC, are choosing to let food assistance vanish for over 1.4 million North Carolinians. That isn’t leadership. It’s cruelty. https://t.co/Q7RgcNWjdr
In just six days, Republicans redrew congressional maps to serve Trump, silenced debate in the Senate, and blocked Medicaid funding. And they did it all without shame. Check out this week's Batch Brief for the full breakdown from this week in the NCGA.

And every constituent deserves the same respect from this institution. If rumors are true, and the majority party plans to redistrict the state in less than 72 hours, they have an obligation to inform the chamber. 3/3
Over the past few days, our staff has requested details about next week’s redistricting process. So far we have received no answers, no updates, and no communication whatsoever. #ncpol 1/3
This continued refusal to engage in even the most basic level of transparency is a direct insult to the millions of North Carolinians we were elected to represent. Every Senator in this chamber holds the same responsibility to their constituents,
