Francisco Lindor on Pete Alonso:
“We do all miss Pete. We love him and he’s a great player and he’s going to be one of the greatest Mets to ever play. I think they made an effort [to keep him]. All I know is they thought they were going to improve the team. At the end of the day, we love Pete. We miss Pete.”
Alonso entered Monday with an .812 OPS, 22 home runs, had played in all 106 games for the Orioles, and ranked in MLB’s 85th percentile in Outs Above Average at first base.
Lindor added:
“He’s one of the greatest teammates I’ve ever had.”
