⚠️NSW PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT – COVID-19 CASE⚠️
NSW Health has been notified this morning of a new COVID-19 case in a person who resides in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Urgent investigations into the source of the infection and contact tracing are underway.
NEWPORT | A boat has exploded and is now sinking on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Firefighters are working with @NSWAmbulance to treat at least one injured person. Crews are setting up lighting to asses the scene. @NSWRFS@nswpolice
Act fast and decisively. Didn’t happen in Victoria. Did in SA. Not happening in NSW. Minimum should be mandating masks. Each day’s delay can equal a week on the other side. Feds can’t sit this one out either. They have to bring an effective vaccine forward now.
NSW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY – NORTHERN BEACHES LGA
Due to increasing COVID-19 case numbers associated with the Avalon cluster, NSW Health is issuing a strong advisory for all people in the Northern Beaches LGA to wear a mask at all times when in indoor areas.
One new case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in NSW to 3,783.
The new case is a close contact of a previously reported case at Hornsby Hospital.
The @NSWCHO strongly recommends face masks where:
- Physical distancing is hard to maintain, such as public transport or supermarkets
- Staff in indoor settings with a higher risk of transmission, such as hospitality & customer-facing venues
- People attending places of worship
NSW people PLEASE play your part in containing this anticipated next wave of COVID19 .
#MaskUp, wash your hands, cough’n’sneeze etiquette, physical distancing.
Don’t wait to be told.

The evidence shows school closures before students become infected is one of the most powerful non-pharmaceutical interventions that we can deploy @NAChristakis#RNSundayExtra https://t.co/4MOQAOCeps
To the people who have bought 27 bottles of soap leaving none on the shop shelves for others, you do realise that to stop getting coronavirus, you need other people to wash their hands too, you great thundering walloper.
