Update on 2020 teaching: After about 20 minutes of being at work today, we were forced to evacuate because of a fire. School had to be cancelled. Buses arrived at school & immediately turned around. We had to work from home.

The end of the first nine weeks of school is next week. In that amount of time, our school has been shut down twice, our county once (totaling 6 weeks of solely remote instruction). In 9 weeks, I will have had my students in class for 4 days. Four. Days.

Having said all that though, know this: kids are so incredibly resilient. This insane situation has proved that completely. I learn from them every day, and admire their bravery so much. We have so much to learn from children.
