@johndeeth I'm thinking that the athletic director paid off the refs to be sure Iowa lost so she wouldn't look totally imbecilic for firing the offensive coordinator of the school that won their conference title. There were some really bad calls imo.

@tdorman @IAGovernor The Gov and many in the Ia Legislature keep saying they are doing what Iowans want. If they care about what we want, why didn't they just put it on the ballot and let Iowans vote? Is there a legitimate reason why that didn't happen, or were they just scared?

@mattckenney @modestholdings Gosh, I thought one of the reasons for limits on child labor was so kids could go to school and not be overly tired or psychologically damaged. Iowa did recently pass a bill to make it harder to get food benefits, so maybe this is the states way of making up for that?

@johndeeth I don't understand why some are calling it a primary. Mailing in a card to designate one's preference for a presidential candidate, is nothing like going to a polling place and casting a vote, nor is it like filling out a full ballot at home and dropping it off or mailing it in.

@KimReynoldsIA Perhaps we should work harder to elect people who do not break the law. Do you understand that DA Bragg investigated this and took it to a grand jury. Those people heard the evidence, and decided there was enough to indict. This is what following the law looks like
