A kid costs about $1,470 a month for 18 years: 1 in 6 dollars a middle-income family earns.
In 1890 it was 1 in 8, and women still had about 4 kids.
Day 1: What kids cost
@Griffithouler@clavicular Who rated these guys?? The two top tiers are a bunch of prettyboys and quite feminine.
Also, look at the 10 most popular actors
@Griffithouler@clavicular Of course the more attractive person is gonna get the deal for media. The thing they’re not trying to do is build a successful company or become the world’s wealthiest man
Right, I know they have an advantage, but it’s not everything. And not enough to spend over 100K in face and maintenance to maybe get a callback over a job
A study showed they received 36% more job callbacks, and another found they had a slightly better chance of getting loans, by +1.54%
But in that job study, 89.7% of the attractive applicants still didn’t get callbacks
And another study found women who didn’t include pictures on their resumes got more callbacks than attractive women who did
Hahaha that’s what this whole thing has been about and I’ve given you multiple examples and you just wanna play dumb. Epic
Ok, since you keep saying looks are EVERYTHING, let's look at some actual numbers
A 2025 analysis of 67 studies found the average beauty premium in earnings was around 4.3%, dropping to about 1.1% after adjustments
A study of 294 S&P 500 CEOs found that attractive CEOs earned higher salaries (esp on public facing companies), but their looks didn't predict better company performance
A dating study involving over 6,600 dates found that personal compatibility also predicted who people continued pursuing
And a 9-year relationship study found that personality traits were linked to long-term relationship satisfaction
And the most obvious thing... the richest men in the world are very much NOT attractive
And all of the personal examples I’ve given you of people I know irl
I have never denied pretty privilege. But you're claiming looks are everything and haven’t even acknowledged most of this, even though it’s simply facts
Lol ok, let me connect the dots for you
We started with Clavicular and his obsession with looks. I said it wasn’t masculine to go to such extremes with surgery, steroids, makeup and all that
You brought up women, feminism, and traditional values, and started asking about my personal life to prove your point
Then you argued that women are basically choosing men for their genetics now, and that personality doesn’t matter. LOOKS ARE EVERYTHING
So we got into surgery, genetics, mate selection, and whether artificially changing your looks actually improves what you pass on to your kids
Then we got into the whole “looks fade” debate
Then we got into eugenics, lookism, and the blackpill, which led to you saying that true love doesn't exist because women can't love a man who's not a Chad
So we discussed attraction and love
Then YOU expanded your claim to money, friendships, relationships, and status. So I brought up wealthy men who aren't particularly handsome, and friendships that aren't based on looks
My point from the beginning has been that looks matter, but they're not everything. And that making your entire life revolve around appearance is vain and unhealthy
@paramounttactcl@JohnMappin It’s incredible how many people jumped onto this case with all sorts of “proof”
And all different directions too. I’ve seen everything from “the left killed Charlie” to “the Jews killed Charlie” to “Erika killed Charlie” to “Charlie wasn’t killed at all”
@Griffithouler@clavicular You won’t even acknowledge the fact that the richest men are literally not handsome at all, even tho you say everything depends on looks
Man, you’ve had a sad life
If your friendships have only been with 10s, you have a serious lookism issue. Some of my best friends are mid, while the prettier ones are high maintenance and demanding and unpleasant
I already told you about the relationships I already know
Also, Elon Musk is worth roughly $900 BILLION lol
Look at Musk, Zuckerberg, Gates, Buffett, and then look at Cavill, Beckham, and Clooney
All high status men, not all striking
@Griffithouler@clavicular Actually no. My husband is my only one
But this right here disproves your whole point. If I love a man that’s not a chad, maybe looks aren’t everything 😏
@Griffithouler@clavicular Of course a man isn’t hypergamous. I know for myself that I want to look up to my man, mostly in intelligence tho. I don’t want him putting me on a pedestal, that’s fo sho.
