@grantonsoil Salmonella from crops isn't uncommon, outbreaks are often b/c of unsanitary field conditions for crop harvesters to wash their hands or toilet facilities. I recall two definite onions salmonella outbreaks in Pennsylvania that resulted in deaths from organ failure of consumers..
