Uh... 'news junkie'? 🗯🌱🦇 Pet peeves: the stock market, sandwiches that are too tall, logical fallacies.
Married, with two cat children (code for don't DM me)
NEW: Three say they gave their absentee ballots to strangers who promised to turn them in to officials.
They all said they don't know if they were turned in.
I checked the voter database. There's no record of these three voting in the 2018 election. Story at 6 @wsoctv#NC09
Some Republicans are now saying they made a mistake w/ Trump. But Trump is not the mistake; he’s only a symptom. His enablers agree w/ the majority of his policy decisions b/c they grew out of white Southern Strategy that’s been deliberately used for last 50 years.
This is unbelievable (if true). Facebook and Russian government controlled Yandex have a joint venture to share information. That means the Russian government could find out nearly anything about a Facebook user. Thank God I never used Facebook https://t.co/LL6dnRMQUX
@marcushjohnson Bernie was used too widely as a crow bar to divide the left by bad actors last time. I think it's time to move on from him as a primary candidate and use his wisdom and expertise to help a younger candidate lead successfully.
@kenklippenstein I'm already a poet, but I'd, ya know, be able to actually make that my whole job, rather than something I slowly work away at between long hours spent teaching a 4/4 all year.
What career would you have picked if we lived in a functioning society that invested in stuff other than like $1 trillion fighter jets? I'd be a folklorist
The President made an important visit to US troops in Iraq today. Why did he claim falsely he raised military pay for the first time in 10 years (it’s gone up every year for three decades but 1983) & by 10% (it went up less than 3%)? Troops know the truth. Who’s he speaking to?
@sahilkapur So getting 46b and then 25b isn’t good enough for conservatives. It’s all or none with this crew. Now that ship has sailed and their down to $1.3b. Seems like The longer conservatives negotiate the worse their position becomes. The Art of the deal in reverse.
68 senators voted in 2013 for $46 billion in border security.
54 senators voted in 2018 to give Donald Trump $25 billion for a wall.
Both bipartisan deals were killed by conservative lawmakers who didn’t like legal status provisions for undocumented people in them.
What the podiatrist got in return for diagnosing Donald Trump w bone spurs “was access to Fred Trump,” his daughter said. “If there was anything wrong in the building, my dad would call and Trump would take care of it immediately.”
Good article, bad headline.
1) The vast majority of these advertisers came to this decision on their own because his increasingly xenophobic comments don’t align with their brands.
2) You shouldn’t have to belong to a specific political ideology to have an issue with bigotry.
Rep. Adam Smith: "Why must Secretary Mattis leave early? The President has no given no reason why Mattis can't stay until the end of February ... We face too many challenges ... to add to our risk by leaving the country without an experienced national security leader."
The podiatrist who gave Trump a letter stating he had bone spurs on his heels—which enabled him to dodge the Vietnam War draft—issued the doc as a favor to Trump's father https://t.co/4E7yyL93Pc
8 year old boy who died Christmas Eve in Border Patrol custody held with dad in the field for 3 hours.
Then 2 days at a BP processing station.
Then 2 days at another station.
Then moved at 11:17PM to a third station.
That’s when CBP says he got sick.

New: The daughters of a podiatrist in Queens say their father, who rented office space from Fred Trump, helped Donald Trump avoid the draft by saying he had bone spurs. They told the Times that it was done as a favor for Fred Trump. https://t.co/Xv6Q6LYcUk
