Historically the UK and Japan have exchanged their native plant species, cherry blossom trees being a main one, and since 2016 Japan has gifted over 7,000 cherry trees as a sign of friendship, that's why you randomly see them all over the country, this sort of thing has been going on for over a century now, a specific species of tree called the Tai-Haku actually went completely extinct in Japan for centuries, but a British ornithologist called Collingwood Ingram discovered a dying tree in someone's garden, and he was able to send cuttings over to Japan via the Tran-Siberian Express and successfully reintroduce the species back to Japan, so every Tai-Haku in Japan is descended from the cuttings of the last dying tree in existence, which just happened to be in a random garden in Sussex

Went to work for a company, that sold a Forensic light that "detected cocaine'
I asked to be trained in it's use, they told me, Put on orange glasses, turn the light on in a dark car, if there is any cocaine, it will 'pop'
so I went out to my truck, and did that, knowing I had owned the truck it's whole life, I did not do coke, and no one I knew did either.
Much to my surprise, there was 'coke' all over my truck.
but, then again, they was not any,it was all sorts of other things, candy crumbs, stuff tracked in from my shoes, cleaning agents.
This light had been sold to agencies, and used to 'find' traces of drugs, so that a search was warranted.
I did 10 or so other cars, that I knew never had coke in them, they all lit up.
I asked to see the paperwork that they had from the testing labs, well,,,,there was none, someone just told them that a specific blue light wavelength, would show coke. So, they made the light in that WL, and sold them
I refused to sell the light, they got somewhat mad, but did not fire me
as a few years went by, I found out how much of the 'Forensic science' was total and complete bullshit.
I have always gave the benefit of the doubt, even after being kicked in the teeth over and over
guess some people like me are just born suckers
