Republicans and Democrats alike are reading the research, watching the abject failure of vouchers in other states, and crunching the fiscal numbers.

Opposition to vouchers is bringing R’s and D’s together.

**Texas is more rural than not and even a higher percentage of rural Republicans reject vouchers.

This isn’t partisan. It’s Texans who love their community schools vs. Out-of-State billionaires looking to profit.

Anyone that reads through SB2 knows that it resembles socialism with its government control, multibillion dollar budget, strings attached, redistribution and new bureaucracy.

Is it ok to shorten that to “socialism”?

I finally got my notes updated on the new Texas “#schoolchoice” bill, SB2, since it left the Senate floor.

One item from my last set of notes that I found extremely dangerous was removed on the Senate floor. Good! Unfortunately more items that cause concern were added. Bad!

Remember, this is a true vendor bill meaning it is for the benefit of vendors & not Texan children like the bill’s author, @SenCreighton, has claimed. He’s just helping siphon our money into his donors pockets.

$11.34B in 5 years time for 98k students to leave public schools for a “private” government school = fraud, deception, manipulation & a true scam on taxpayers.

Email all of the House Reps, tell them to vote no on SB2.

-Dept of Education will cost Tx $14.6 Billion in funding 20% - No Title 1 or special needs funding
-Tx Passes Vouchers will hit Rural Community especially hard
-Fewer kids in school = fewer lunches that will hit the school lunch program
