@abooker17 They were dropped in as a top seed by FIFA when in reality they should be a 4th seed. They had all the advantages they could possibly have and still didn't top the group to get another home game. Kind of on them isn't it
The more you look at the Konsa tackle on Adu, the more you realise England got a huge slice of luck from a terrible refereeing decision. Konsa's tackle is comically crude. Pen and straight red https://t.co/mYuwJuIpPU
@TheFLZone Probably do ok and get 2.5 mill or so for him given he is still quite young and English. Probably do well at one of the promoted teams like Lincoln
@Boro_Breakdown Tells me the bids (if any) aren't anywhere near enough and this is just us putting pressure on clubs to pay the fee. Worrying that we're saying 20mill when you'd hope that's the minimum and a bidding war takes it up higher, but equally can't see a way we let him walk for nothing
@Boro@Boropolis So many mad takes about Gilbert and especially Silvera, let's face it they're nowhere near good enough for a side trying to get promoted. Thank them for their efforts and wish them luck but absolutely had to go. Be surprised if they get a champ club this summer
@GraemeBandeira There would have been hell on in the summer if we'd even tried to sign him. Pathetic record at las palmas last season. Similar to danny ings and Bamford. He may work in their team and system but would have been a disaster in this team if we're being realistic
@SouthamptonFC No one is fining you 200mill, they are just stopping you play in a competition you cheated your way to and through. Very simple really. No guarantee you would have won the final anyway, currently there is no financial element to your punishment other than a bit of ticket money?
@paulharper75 @ellam5e Also didn't lose either of the legs in 90mins, so went out on a very fine margin in extra time with it been proven the opposition had cheated and gained an unfair advantage. Put like that in knockout football there isn't really any other outcome
@HancockAnalysis I'd agree, but no way the EFL, Sky or Wembley would stand for no show piece play off final. There wasn't a perfect outcome once it carried on past the semi finals finishing
@GalapagosDivin@banouby@TractorSaint He literally took the ball off the cone as he was going to get it? Maybe the original ball was flat and he couldn't use it? End of the day the ball boy was in the wrong
@su4eranio@cjelliott37 But if they don't go up then the fine reduces as revenue will be a lot lower. It would still be worth the gamble for any future team if they know they're only risking 10%. It has to be a serious deterrent otherwise the rules will just be broken over and over again with no care
If I'm being accused of being a cheat when I know I'm not, I'm defending myself here. At the very least you say "no" instead of running away don't you? Guilty as they come this fella
Southampton's Tonda Eckert walked away from his press conference early after being asked if he is a 'cheat' following the Saints' 'spygate' saga that surrounds their play-off clash with Middlesbrough.
Just in this first half:
- Blatant pen denied on Strelec
- Scienza MUTLIPLE dives, zero booking
- Incorrect freekick awarded for Southampton equaliser
- Conway 1 on 1 with goalie and ref blows up for nothing
- Peretz dives to the floor, no booking given

There is no better example of VAR causing a decline in Premier League officiating than this Southampton v Boro match. Premier League referee Andy Madley in charge and without a VAR safety net he has been absolutely rotten.
