@dhlexpressuk#DHL if you give an hour time slot for delivery, but then arrive over 40 min before it starts, don't be surprised nobody is in! I'm here now, ready for the slot YOU gave me. ๐ก
...and why can't you just leave it in the "safe place" like every other company does?!?
@GMB tank tracks actually apply less pressure to the road as their weight is spread over a much greater area than a car on 4 tyres with small contact areas. That's why tanks don't sink into sand. Also immune to potholes, obviously. #potholes#physics
@Chrissietutoruk "Support plans" for expensive UPS3 teachers who are aware of the detailss of their contracts of employment and their rights, and are not afraid to challenge those that ignore those rights when policy making or making demands.
#happensalltoooften
@_DominicBristow@Starbored3@LucyGriff76 I can't see the time that would save not being instantly (more than) filled with something else, as is always the case in teaching. It's as if the powers that be just can't bare the thought of us having a moments time to decompress or breathe.
@GMB the increase in pensions and benefits with the triple lock system has been consistently higher than the increases in wages of many working people. Teachers, Police, NHS, CS, etc...
Why are you focussing on rewarding those who don't or never have worked over those that do?
Shame on @BBCNews, lumping teacher strikes in with the pandemic and cost of living crisis as obstacles to pupil learning in your A-level results day coverage! ๐ ๐ก
All exam groups were prioritised and still taught on the few strike days in EVERY school I know!!! #ResultsDay2024
@theJeremyVine If I need to leave a car width minimum space to go around a cyclist safely, surely a cyclist needs a car width of space to safely pass another vehicle? This plainly wasn't that wide a gap. Can't have it both ways.
@theJeremyVine @jerseyphililp You mean like all other 4-wheeled traffic? It's only really 2 wheelers that weave in, out, and around everything on the road as a standard.
...then film when goes wrong and post on here.
Anon Post: My headteacher has banned homework throughout the entire school. She believes that teachers should focus on utilising classroom time more effectively to cover the necessary curriculum.
@Telegraph How about poor families or just working class families? How utterly out of touch you are. People who work full time are struggling to put food on the table, let alone pay schools fees more than their yearly wage. Look after the rick folk, though, ey? Screw the poor.
@CoachKGaming @RogersHistory Can't say I've experienced anyone jealous of staff who do a "good" job.
More likely angry at those working 60+hr weeks to get everything done, making those who refuse to do so much free overtime look "bad".
I'd rather be mediocre and have my mental health & family time, thanks.
@tombennett71 Any financial incentives to drive recruitment need a clawback clause (say 4 years minimum service commitment), or you pay it back. ยฃ30k tax free is a great income, and I know of many who half-heartedly started PGCE as it "paid" well, a few even had no intention of teaching!
@La_Biologuita@ms_williams100 They can call it whatever they like, but if that second break falls between 12 and 2pm, then it is lunchtime. If they are both breaks, then they are both part of the DT calculation (only LUNCHTIME is unpaid), and that will put you well over 1265. Get union advice.
@Paula_D427 @La_Biologuita @TraceyGrennan Depends how long their lessons are. If its 3x 100min lessons a day, then 3 lessons PPA per 2 weeks is 10% and the correct (minimum) amount.
@La_Biologuita@ms_williams100 Our head tried to implement this "break 1 and break 2" last year. Union threatened to ballot for strike action, and it was withdrawn. Just say no.
