Australian chess champion Heather Richards boycotted Israel at the 46th chess Olympiad this week ✊🏻 🇵🇸 She said:
"I am not playing. I am participating in the sporting boycott of Israel. Russia is currently banned from competing in the chess olympiad due to the invasion of Ukraine. Israel should be banned from the chess olympiad.
I am doing this because Israel is committing a genocide.
The chess olympiad is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, with over 200 countries competing this year. Letting Israel participate in major sports events allows them to engage in sportswashing of their reputation and to project an image of normality to the world while they commit genocide and apartheid.
Over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7 2023, over 21,500 of which are children. There have been almost 1,400 fatalities since the “ceasefire”. At least 21,000 children have been disabled. Israel’s own internal documents state that the civilian deaths are about 83% of all deaths.
In 2025, the United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory found that Israel had committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. In 2026, they also found that Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children as part of their genocidal and atrocity crimes in both Gaza and the West Bank.
The International Court of Justice has issued arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity for Netanyahu and other Israeli ministers. Israel should be banned from all sporting events just like apartheid South Africa was.
I oppose genocide. I oppose the Israeli apartheid which denies Palestinians basic rights and dignity. I oppose the illegal occupations of the Palestinian territories as per the ruling of the International Court of Justice.
I stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people."
@SaifQuadri Since you say this is an emergency, the patient should go to the emergency department, where they can be assessed. If it is indeed an emergency, the surgical department will be contacted to coordinate with them so that the patient can be taken to the operating room immediately.
Sometimes life doesn’t get heavy — it crushes you. I’m holding onto hope, but some days I can barely breathe. I don’t want to give up; I just need to step back and protect what’s left of my strength.
Please keep me in your prayers.

I thought the fathers in Gaza carrying bags of flesh they hope contain some of their children's remains were the victims here but actually no. It's Ed Fucking Sheeran.
For over a year, boxes containing 900 wheelchairs meant for people in Gaza have been sitting in a warehouse because Israel won’t let them in, classifying the wheelchairs as “potential weapons”
During the siege of Al-Shifa Hospital, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh told us: “We are working with great dedication,” speaking of the resilience of us, the medical teams.
We can testify to Dr. Munir’s integrity, steadfastness, and deep faith. Today, his eldest son, Basir, was killed in a deliberate attack, while he remains committed to his mission of saving patients and standing by our medical teams—a mission for which he has paid the ultimate price.
@YerMouse His daughter was killed some time ago. They are trying to force him to surrender, but they do not understand the steadfastness and convictions of Dr. Munir, or his unwavering belief in never abandoning his patients despite the lack of resources.
Dr. Münir’i hedef alıp yaraladılar, yine hastalarının başına döndü.
@hayalizati Despite all the pressure we faced to leave Gaza and abandon our patients, Dr. Hussam and Dr. Munir have had a profound impact on our determination to continue our work to this day .

When I tell Americans that they’re the same as Israelis—genocide perpetrators living on stolen colonized Indigenous lands—they always claim there’s a big difference between living on land that’s been being colonized for centuries and colonialism in new places.
Tell Americans that the entire continent must be returned to the Indigenous nations that have been fighting for them for centuries and they bray like donkeys. Why should they have to give back what their fathers refused to return? Look at how much infrastructure they’ve built!
So, Dr. Yahya’s observation is astute. All Medinat Israel needs is time and the world will accept the colonization of Palestine as a done deal, a fact on the ground, the new reality that Palestinians must simply stop fighting and accept.
Medinat Israel is just a newborn America.
This morning was filled with deep pain and grief after dozens of people lost their lives when a building with already-destroyed foundations collapsed. They had been forced to live there because they had nowhere else to shelter themselves and their families.
Since early morning, I have been with several neurosurgeons, and we have seen dozens of injured people arrive one after another. Some had severe or partial skull fractures, while others had vomiting and other serious symptoms requiring urgent CT scans or MRI.
The hardest part was that the imaging machine was not working today because the materials needed to operate it were unavailable. There is another functioning machine in southern Gaza, but transporting patients from the north to the south can mean dangerous delays and life-threatening complications.
These are not just numbers. These are human lives being lost because even the most basic medical resources are unavailable.
I say this clearly: the silence must end. What is happening in Gaza is destroying lives, deepening the suffering of patients and the injured, and leaving consequences that will last for years.
Gaza needs urgent and meaningful action—not more silence.
It needs medical equipment, medicine, fuel, functioning hospitals, and protection for patients and healthcare workers.
