Division III Birmingham-Southern has advanced to the College World Series.
The university is closing on May 31st—meaning they will officially be playing for a school that no longer exists.
Just to freshen the minds of the youths:
Jamaal Charles has a learning disability, and actually competed in the Special Olympics as a kid.

Girls had to grit out a win today and we did what we had to do to earn the result. Played strong defensively and finished an opportunity. Goal scored by Meghan Knust.

The first things out of both organizations was they were going to do what’s best for them and their fans. Not the city, not the county, not the state.
Voters overwhelmingly untethered themselves from the two teams tonight and there will be consequences. I don’t think people understand what they just voted for.
