@vandergraafly@acoyne@WriterWong The thousands of civilians were killed because the perpetrators of genocide and mass rape have intentionally hid behind civilians.
@drmoneymatters I almost bought a couple hundred dollars worth of Bitcoin when it was at $20, but used that money for textbooks at uni instead. I console myself by knowing there's no way I would have held past $1000.
@DrJenGunter Legally? I have no idea. Ethically? IMHO Absolutely. Anyone who handles a firearm has an obligation to ensure it's safe from the moment they pick it up and to ensure they handle it in a safe manner. So many basic rules of firearm safety must have been violated for this to occur.
@mckaycoppins It's a movie that really depends on who you watch it with and the mood you're in. The first time I watched it I didn't like it. Watched it again with friends late on a Friday night when we were all having a good time, and I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen.
@bataille_chris@andrew_leach@gilmcgowan Truck owners already pay that w/ taxes on fuel. A lot of roadway maintenance and transit funding comes from fuel tax, and EV's don't pay that. I hate to admit it, but this actually isn't a bad idea to ensure funding for roadways and transit is present as EV's become more popular
@ChefReactions Peaceful has amazing beef rolls. Fire pizza on Commercial is my go-to for greasy by-the-slice pizza. Breka is a great 24 hr cafe/bakery that's worth checking out.
@ChefReactions Cinnamon buns from "Grounds for coffee." Oddly enough their coffee is mediocre but cinnamon buns are the best. Cannibal cafe on Commercial for burgers. Kosoo for Korean near Robson and Cardero. Osaka sushi at Burrard and Harwood.
@ChefReactions If you venture into North Vancouver than Alberello pizzeria at Lonsdale and 15th and Sushi Umi at Lonsdale and 20th are both worth checking out. Best coffee in Vancouver for my money is Nemesis.
@smartereveryday I regularly switch between different vehicles made by several major manufacturers and never have an issue with this. Even Bluetooth in rental vehicles seems just fine.
@ximLethaLx@Equinox_SDG@DonutOperator @AltHistCody Driving isn't a right, it's a privilege. Obeying the rules of the road is part of being a responsible member of a civilized society. Freedom doesn't mean getting to do whatever you want without any regard for others.
