As the people of Manipur have been demanding the implementation of the NRC, the State Government passed a resolution in the State Assembly and forwarded it to the Central Government through the Home Commissioner, T. Ranjit. This is the response received from the Central Government.
The longest reigning Congress Government has not done anything for the people. This clip is being shared in the public interest to inform the people about the progress made so far regarding the implementation of the NRC by the BJP Government. The video is taken from the discussion held during the 2024 Manipur Legislative Assembly session.
@chinkukimizogin False narratives cannot replace evidence. Let investigations determine the facts, and respect the democratic process. Support for former CM Biren Singh remains strong.
@kukigrand2026@shawnvaiphei@PaulMate6 Biren Singh resigned amid claims that dissidents and the Congress were planning a no-confidence motion. He also filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police in Imphal over alleged fake audio recordings and the spread of false propaganda.

@TombaSharma5@PaulMate6@indSupremeCourt The aftermath of #KukiTerrorism at the village of Kangchup, where Kuki Terrorist bombed and burnt the village .
The villagers have found ‘ drone assisted bombs and RPG bombs’ which shows Kukis are using this in terrorising civilians
End #KukiTerrorism
After the conflict erupted in May 2023, drug seizures in Manipur saw a sharp and sustained drop. The once-thriving narco networks that operated with impunity across the hill districts have been severely disrupted following the unrest.
This decline came as a direct outcome of the relentless War on Drugs launched by Shri N Biren Singh during his strong administration. His bold actions against poppy cultivation and drug cartels long before the violence began had already shaken the foundations of these illicit empires.
When the conflict broke out, the same forces that thrived on drug money found themselves cornered and the trafficking routes that passed through Manipur were weakened significantly.
Importantly, intelligence and seizure patterns clearly showed that a major portion of the drug route were diverted towards Mizoram following the 2023 violence.
The porous Indo-Myanmar border continues to be exploited, but the heat generated in Manipur under Shri @NBirenSingh leadership has forced the cartels to shift their operations.
Yet the threat remains with new cases emerging now in the state. The people must not become complacent. The success of the War on Drugs must be consolidated with stronger border fencing, tighter surveillance and unwavering political will. Shri N Biren Singh’s vision of a drug-free Manipur continues to guide the way forward even amidst the most difficult circumstances.

While the Meiteis and Nagas continue to endure violent armed aggression from Kuki militants, the persistent failure of both the Central and State governments to deliver justice and ensure accountability has deeply eroded public trust.
For the past three years, several Meitei individuals killed by militants remain missing, leaving their families in agonizing uncertainty as they desperately await the recovery and return of their loved ones’ bodies.
Similarly, while the bodies of some Naga victims have been recovered, many others are still untraced, prolonging the pain of their communities.
This prolonged setback has led to an increase in drawing sharp criticism against the authorities from wider sections for their inaction & failure to take responsibility. The people are entirely justified in raising these grave grievances. True peace and reconciliation can only begin when the government addresses these unresolved tragedies with urgency, transparency and impartial justice.

May our National Flag always fly high, reminding us of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and inspiring every citizen to uphold the ideals of justice, equality, and national unity.
On National Flag Day, let us renew our pledge to serve the nation with dedication and pride. Jai Hind!
The demand for separate administration in Manipur was based on fragile grounds. It relied heavily on cross-border ethnic linkages, porous borders and the assumption of continued instability in Myanmar’s Chin State to build political leverage.
The movement was strongly influenced by the situation that prevailed in Myanmar, which was highly unpredictable. Recent military gains by the Tatmadaw in key areas have certainly weakened the wider Chin-Kuki networks that sustained maximalist demands in Manipur.
A clear understanding of how the conflict has been shaped by multiple external and strategic factors, rather than being viewed merely as a binary clash between two communities, is essential to tackle the challenges effectively.
This insightful article by Naorem Mohen highlights how control over strategic routes like Moreh, vital for India’s Act East Policy and the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway, transformed local ethnic tensions into a broader national security and connectivity issue.
It makes a strong case for restoring lawful authority, permanently reopening highways, recovering illegal arms and pursuing dialogue strictly within the Constitution without rewarding violence or creating new divisions, including the Naga factor. This shift presents a valuable opportunity for sustainable peace, justice and coexistence in Manipur.

Visited the Luwangpokpa Pony Farm as the rains began to set in to check on the condition of the ponies. Thankfully, the grass has grown well, ensuring they have enough fodder. We now also have five saddles for playing Sagol Kangjei at the farm.
In a deeply concerning development, documents from the 2015 Deed of Commitment to the Geneva Call have revealed deep alleged ties between Kuki political leaders and militant groups in Manipur.
In the said documents, Kimneo Haokip Hangshing, a sitting Kuki People's Alliance MLA from Saikul, signed as "Secretary Women & Child" of the Kuki National Organisation (KNO), which is an umbrella militant outfit under SoO agreement with the Government of India.
In a region torn by ongoing ethnic violence, including the recent Kuki-Naga clashes involving abductions & killings, such overlapping of legitimate politics and militancy raises grave concerns.
Elected representatives holding formal positions in insurgent organizations blur the lines between democratic politics and armed insurgency. This undermines governance, fuels distrust and risks perpetuating cycles of violence.
An independent investigation is urgently needed to reveal the facts. It goes without saying that active members or office-bearers of insurgent groups ought to be barred from holding elected office in this highly conflicted region to restore credibility and enable genuine peace efforts.
