The US’ oldest and newest diplomatic properties are now both located in the Kingdom of Morocco 🇲🇦. The oldest is the American Legation in Tangier, which was gifted to our government by the Sultan in 1821, while the newest is a gleaming steel and glass Consulate General in Casablanca’s dynamic financial district. I had the honor of participating in the inauguration ceremony during my recent visit, along with my friend @USAmbMorocco Duke Buchan III, Consul General Marissa Scott, and distinguished representatives of the Moroccan government.
