@SplaneMark @lesclopes @NeilDotObrien One of the things that I do from time to time is to manually digitise a book with small print and often taken from a poor reproduction, preserving the author's spelling or grammatical structure. Do I use a ruler? You bet I do.

@SplaneMark @lesclopes @NeilDotObrien Sometimes it's quicker too, especially if it's a technical book, or some other where you have a lot of dense writing, or a typeface which is difficult to read, and you don't want to risk skipping a line or missing a word.

I also help kids at a local school with their reading, some of them like using rulers so they don't lose their place too.
