Jung Hoo Lee really seems to be turning into that player he was in Korea and who he told me earlier this year he so much wanted to be for the Giants and their fans. Another three-hit game for him. He has nine hits in this series.
In 111 PA since April 10th, Jung Hoo Lee is slashing .321/.351/.453 with a .804 OPS, 130 wRC+ and 2 HR. Mix in a 9.9% strikeout rate, and he's looked a lot more like the player you expected from the KBO.
The real question is if he can extrapolate that to 162. #SFGiants
Here’s where Jung Hoo Lee would’ve ranked among Right Fielders in 2025 (min. 400 PA)
11.5% K% - 1st
.266 AVG - 5th
73 R - T-6th
2.4 fWAR - 8th
.327 OBP -8th
107 wRC+ - T-8th
.407 SLG - 9th
If it’s indeed Lee in right, the #SFGiants all of a sudden have a Top 10 RF in baseball.
@ryanghensley Respectfully this is a wild over reaction. "This era is over". What does that even mean?
They just made played a game to appear in the NFCCG for crying out loud. Accomplished that with a fraction of their regular contributors.

I think this is a bit of an underrated storyline this season, but we just watched Jung Hoo Lee’s “rookie” season. Yes it was up and down, but a 104 wRC+, 2.2 fWAR, and a 11% K rate is pretty impressive for a rookie.
Not sure about y’all, but I can’t wait to see him in 2026.
