I don't think anyone is claiming it is perfect and they are definitely giving much more latitude to FSD to complete the tasks at hand (seemingly 99.99% of the time the challenges are related to parking!) but in doing so, they are "proving" that even if there was no wheel or pedals, FSD could "git r dun" which is the truly impressive part.
I'm about to do a roughly one week, 5k loop around a good chunk of the US next month and although I won't need to or don't feel compelled to achieve 100% with those "extra" efforts, I do expect to have all normal driving handled by FSD.
There is NO OTHER CAR you can own/operate that comes even remotely close to this capability. My mindset has shifted such that it feels actually kinda barbaric to drive by yourself now!

Doing a quasi version of this soon. NC to Vegas and back. Not for any records but will use FSD every single moment possible.
