🇹🇷 🇨🇾 Former EFL stalwart Erhun Oztumer recently helped lead Northern Cyprus to the 2026 #CONIFA European Football Cup title.

The tournament, which is for nations not recognised by FIFA, was held in Italy.

The 35-year-old scored four goals in the final as his side beat hosts Padania 5-1.

The London-born midfielder has been playing in Northern Cyprus’ top-flight for the last three years after a spell in Turkey.

Denzel Signs for 2026-27 🔥

Carshalton Athletic are pleased to announce that Denzel Akyeampong will be at Colston Avenue for the 2026-27 season.

Denzel became part of Carshalton Athletic’s 2025–26 story during the closing months of the campaign, adding pace, energy and defensive quality to the Robins’ right side.

New boss Steven Bates moved quickly to secure Denzel’s signing on 27 February 2026, Denzel immediately becoming a key figure in the first-team picture.

Wearing the number two shirt, Denzel went on to make 10 appearances for Carshalton Athletic in the 2025–26 season. Operating primarily as a right-back, he gave the side athleticism and width, while also showing the willingness to get forward and support attacks.

His biggest statistical moment in a Robins shirt came with his first goal for the club, as he finished the season with one goal from his 10 appearances. For a player joining late in the campaign, that contribution underlined his ability to affect games at both ends of the pitch.

His season covered only the final part of the campaign, but Denzel gave a valuable return – playing a key role to help the team to retain Isthmian Premier Division status.

Denzel is sure to continue to play that key role in the season ahead.
