Heritage/history information gatherer. Favourite periods being Edward II, Charles II and Mme. de Pompadour periods. I am a fool at heart and probably in mind.
@SarahFPoetry I've come across this by looking to see if anyone else had drawn reference to their similar looks/style - good to see that someone else / others have spotted a similarity :)
@rickit Getting a diagnosis seems hard. Partly because it requires effort and persistence which is really hard for people with huge energy saps going on. Are you getting support to keep persisting with this or is it just good old self-driven effort ?
@Soc_of_sleep I like the image of the guy asleep on the beach. Reminds me of about a year ago in Whitby giving up on going shopping mid-walk. I walked off the path and settled down to sleep in long grass.
I'm wondering if I try for a diagnosis again. I've been living with a condition, that seems a halfway house between bipolar II and Kleine-Levin Syndrome, for about 25 years now and I've still not got close to a sensible diagnosis
@JayR_Xx Does anyone else have an over-tendency to write sentences with an 'also' at either end of it, even though there's only meant to be one to be proper English - eg
"Also, I found I had not read the microwave also."
@LouiseCulmer1 Back in 2010s it was officey jobs such as editor, communications officer, content manager. Since mid-2020, I've largely given up on office jobs and hoping to have a shot at nearly landing something in which the interview is either not needed or just seen as a formality to be done
Are competency-based interviews still going on quite a lot? I've basically stopped applying for jobs after failing interview after interview because I was probably (in a good proportion of cases) 'too genuine'. Is this interview style dead and gone yet?
In an alternative universe 60% of people are angstily waiting, with their lives on hold, up to 2 years to be diagnosed with neurotypicalism so they can try and fit in with a very difficult world for them to navigate
The most gentle, caring, constant and emotionally wise people I know are those that have bpd - how can we, with a straight face, call this a disorder ?
@Anna90523382 And the longer answer is that I've '10s sprinted' with my blood sugar plummeting (the straight down Libre arrow) into the lowers 2s, and the sprinting's been great for arresting the decline. It's tended to have a much more immediate effect than glucose.
