Today has been the best kind of reminder of how teaching, in the right place, with the right culture and the right people, truly is the best job in the world.
It never ceases to amaze me just how toxic some workplaces can be. Just when I think I’ve seen & heard it all, I see/hear something else that makes my jaw hit the floor.
Thank goodness for the 1000s of delightful teams & organisations out there working positively & proactively.
You are not your job.
You are not your parents.
You are not your credit score.
You are not your school diploma.
You are not the clothes you wear.
You are not the size of your network.
You are not your house or neighborhood.
You are the sum of your words, choices and actions.
10 years ago today, my son tagged along when I gave a speech to Labour Party Conference.
Now I’m a new @UKLabour MP, proud to have heard our Education Secretary, @BPhillipsonMP tell Conference and the Country that this will be a child-centred government.
