@athena_numakami about twenty hours in and i have yet to experience it as egregious as this - thoughts on the game realizing you're stuck, cutting to a black screen until everything is loaded properly?
@HomestarGroyper@jplaysnintendo@Cosmic_Alema i would consider that to be more cope than anything i’ve stated and thats coming from someone who hates realistic graphics in games
@HomestarGroyper@jplaysnintendo@Cosmic_Alema i said they prioritize art direction over graphics, yes, but that doesn’t mean the games don’t look great
there’s a reason we’re seeing massive diminishing returns on games focusing on a more “realistic” approach - nintendo won by giving up the graphic war during wii era
@HomestarGroyper@jplaysnintendo@Cosmic_Alema where is the cope? i’m agreeing with everything you’re saying..?
needless to say that i thought i was a huge nintendo fan but you’re over the top
@HomestarGroyper@jplaysnintendo@Cosmic_Alema graphics and art direction are two separate things
nintendo prioritizes art direction over graphics which is why their games tend to stand the test of time more
@HomestarGroyper@Cosmic_Alema@jplaysnintendo while i agree, comparing a game built with nintendo hardware in mind is different than porting a game from more powerful consoles - all of that proves how impressive recent ports are
@HomestarGroyper@Cosmic_Alema@jplaysnintendo scale of the games being compared are vastly different so makes sense as to why a re9 looks and runs better than rebirth or elden ring
Researchers found that post-video game depression is real.
People who finished a video game they really liked got uniquely depressed in a way they don't with other media. Those who played long role-playing games were the most depressed of any genre.
