@nedboulting @thetimes@dailytelegraph Well deserved. I chatted with you briefly at the British Champs in Redcar in the summer. I hadnโt bought 1923 when we spoke but have since and it is deserving of all the praise. What a project. Chapeau.
@NeilMurphy1978 @West_Jes_School Controversial, but if they took some of the green space on the edge of Jesmond by Highbury and make it a car park and pedestrianise all of west Jesmond it would transform the community. Fantastic for health, cycling, happiness, local business. It would make a wonderful suburb.

Kudos to the camera operator who captured this stunning sequence from a helicopter of the Men's Road race during the European Championships ๐

Electric card charging network should be nationalised to establish it. Competing companies with no standard app etc is a real pain in the ass. Itโs an ad hoc infrastructure that needs a centralised plan. And no, I donโt know what Iโm talking about. @ColinMurray@bbc5live

@derailleurkate Which outlets are you on for tour de France and Tour de France Femmes? I enjoyed your contributions on the Cycling Podcast a couple of years ago with the great Richard Moore.
@cleanupbritain@BuryCouncil No excuseโฆ butโฆ stick us all on a treadmill in a faceless characterless car dominated environment that could be anywhere in the Uk and unsurprisingly society feels no pride or ownership over these spaces. Better design, environment and amenities = better communities.
A small number of people are insanely rich at the expense of lives, social cohesion, community services, quality of living and thousands of small businesses. The many are suffering for the few, and the damage to society will take generations to repair.
Shell just recorded ยฃ32 billion in profit.
3,000 people in the UK die every year because they can't afford to heat their homes.
Thereโs nothing pragmatic about letting greed run rampant while the poorest freeze to death.
Energy is a public good. It should be in public hands.
