President Trump awards the Medal of Honor to retired Marine Maj. James Capers Jr. for extraordinary heroism during a four-day reconnaissance mission in Vietnam.
Despite suffering multiple severe wounds and massive blood loss after his team was ambushed, Capers continued leading his men, directing fire, and guiding the patrol to an extraction site. He refused evacuation until every member of his team was safely aboard the helicopter.

On October 17, 2019, I sat behind these two men at my first Truth Matters Conference where @D_B_Harrison and I met, in person, for the first time.
@@dawain21 brought it to my attention that this image takes on greater significance today with Voddie’s passing.
“You are going to hear a rumour one day that Voddie Bauckham is no more. Don't you believe it? Because though I die, I will rise with Christ. It will not be the end of me.”
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
I said there would be people who make the monster the victim. I was right. It will continue to happen because we won’t simply call it evil. “Hurt people hurt people” is a stupid response.
Don’t give in to the stupid.
Don't ever water down the Gospel. If the truth offends, then let it offend. People have been living their whole lives in offense to God; let them be offended for a while.
John MacArthur
Our hearts are heavy, yet rejoicing, as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher John MacArthur has entered into the presence of the Savior. This evening, his faith became sight. He faithfully endured until his race was run.
2 Timothy 4:1-8
The church’s greatest enemy isn’t the world, it’s weak doctrine.
The church fears the world. But its real enemy is weak doctrine. The early church thrived under persecution because it stood firm.
Today, churches fear offending people more than offending God. If your church avoids doctrine, it has already surrendered.
What’s the biggest doctrinal compromise in churches today?
Stop saying, "Doctrine Divides"—the apostles fought for it.
Doctrine has always divided. Jesus divided. Paul divided. The Reformers risked their lives for it. The early church fought heresy, not embraced it. If your church avoids doctrine to be "relevant," it’s not a church—it’s a social club.
Why do so many Christians see doctrine as optional?
No wonder the church is weak—too many pulpits sound like motivational seminars instead of battle cries for holiness. If the sermon sounds like a self-help seminar, the pastor preaches more about your dreams than your sin, and the church cares more about filling seats than preaching truth, you’re not in a church. You’re in a spiritual daycare.
It was speaking truth like this that made orgs like The Gospel Coalition distance themselves from Voddie Baucham. As some are debating what it looks like for pastors to be “based,” let me present this excellent example of what it ACTUALLY looks like.
