@glennfreeman39@eddstrawF1@wearetherace@BBV10s@MauriceHamilton LOVED it ๐ Very interesting discussion at the end about the Senna Balestre rivalry being the ultimate flashpoint at that stage, had never thought of it that way! I hope that thunder wasn't someone up there disagreeing ๐
Some photos from the F1 this year at @SilverstoneUK - it was so fabulous, seeing the downforce turn into speed at Copse and Becketts and Stowe was STUNNING! Loved it!
@gaittman@glennfreeman39 Oh yes indeed! If he had made the black red, would be a better match for the car/jaguar logo, but never should have ditched a good design! It didn't seem like it was him driving the car after that! A bad year for great designs ditched as Schumacher went red later on (Monaco?)
@glennfreeman39 Magnificent - fascinating insight from Gary on the fuel!Hadn't realised Herbert did so few stops (!) @SportmphMark did a great job on the Motoring News report, I still remember being agog reading it(was on holiday and missed the race, just couldn't comprehend what I was reading๐ฎ)
@jclelandracing I'm counting 16? Although I wouldn't have chosen any of them over you if I'd been running a Cavalier at the event! Did it feel a really huge event like Indy or Le Mans must do for the drivers in those series?
@GrandPrix_Paul@glennfreeman39@eddstrawF1@karunchandhok JV in the 97 Jordan (most likely destination...?) would have been mighty and race winning I think (but no title!)...now if in this situation he'd gone to Ferrari, that really would have been fireworks ๐
@glennfreeman39@eddstrawF1@karunchandhok Great stuff as ever-stellar list of interviewees! Was astonished to hear it was an option on HHF, I'd misremembered it was a race contract signed in 95!I still think Williams did the right thing proactively looking for a 'schuey-beater', but personally rather they'd kept Damon...
@glennfreeman39 *That chance meeting was just after the Brazil 1994 hearing (!) - he kindly signed my magazine and chatted to me and my Dad for a few mins....in the course of which he declared the FIA officials 'old fuddy duddys' ๐ I don't think Autosport or Motoring News had as good a quote ๐
@glennfreeman39 Irvine and the podium! Am from Co Down like Eddie and met him* and got his autograph the year before - my young self thought it was unbelievably cool someone from my neck of the woods and who signed an autograph for me was up on the podium ๐ Rewatched on VHS many times after!
If @SchumacherMick says he had all 4 wheels on track at all times he's fibbing ๐ Verstappens 'conservative' with 3 wheels up,Hamilton + Leclerc barely get take off with two ๐ We walked from Acqua Minerale down to near Rivazza during FP3 and the views and speed were sensational!
Mercedes is the nicest looking car!Unfortunately not fast - still had fun cheering on @LewisHamilton
on his unsuccessful quest for a point (!) - think he gave me the thumbs up during the drivers parade ๐ Red Bull, Ferrari,Alfa very nice too (McLaren will be with more orange!)
Can't believe it has been over a week since our amazing trip to @autodromoimola for the Grand Prix! The track is fantastic, swooping through the hills, and it is very atmospheric with the trees and the full park right there! I definitely want to go back ๐
A 'composite' entry into Brooklands, through Luffield and into Woodcote - they go so fast I think that Williams turned into a few other cars on the way through ๐ https://t.co/e02EZu5whY
I'm a new DSLR user and trying to learn how to use it - so much I don't know and I took lots of dud photos! But at least I learnt how to work the zoom lens ๐ https://t.co/Bh8KvnLutq
Can't believe its a month since a day of days at Silverstone!Epic cheering on Lewis in the last stint as it went from no-chance to oh-hang-on he-can't-can-he :) 1987 like!Fantastic comms by @addison1972 - 'he can hear you in the car now' - I was certainly cheering!!! Fabulous!
