Remember when Tekere & crew killed a white farmer just after independence? This guy was part of the detail. He was also in 5th Brigade. When you listen to these guys that's when you understand why Zimbabwe is in the pits. These komredzi were child soldiers. Imagine going to war at 14, you spend 9 years in the bush then you come back and have to lead with zero cooling down period & rehabilitation.

12/Fed up with corruption in the Zanu-PF government, Edgar Tekere went on to form the Zimbabwe Unity Movement.

Mugabe, with the help of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, crushed student demonstrations against government corruption in September 1988.

The students who protested were crushed by police.

The journalists who exposed were removed from their posts.

The politicians who were implicated were pardoned and elevated.

The four-step pattern, established in full in 1988–89:

Expose → punish the whistleblower → protect the perpetrator → elevate them.

Every scandal since has followed it.
