@HwsEleutheroi@faitharchitect You’re way smarter than I am, but it might be more helpful to give some answers to people’s questions instead of just telling everyone to go read hundreds of pages. They’re here and willing to engage - so maybe have a conversation instead of insulting them.
@shawngorham Think about doing regular braces - I tried Invisalign first, it's hard to keep them in 22 out of 24 hours, so process is slower. Switched to clear braces - will be done faster and I don't have to constantly worry about keeping them in. Still stinks to have braces, ha.
@sevier_nick And while I have you, a genuine question - what would be your advice on counseling a teenager who is opposed to God and Christianity but is dealing with legit traumatic life events and mental health issues? Where should we look for help?
@sevier_nick Yeah, it kinda seemed contradictory to say he wanted to hear their observations but then say no observations were dispassionate. I actually probably agree with you more than Roger - but I do think there’s good in some secular practices.
@sevier_nick Also, in that video, Heath says, “Nobody makes dispassionate observations. You’re always interpreting.”
Seems like maybe you wouldn’t then quote someone whose interpretation is so different than yours when you fight against other interpretations so hard.
@sevier_nick Look, I’m not a counselor or in this world, just an observer. I do understand what you’re saying - just seemed strange for you to make a serious blanket accusation about using secular sources right after quoting one.
Sunday Night Light
I took our 10-year old daughter to Holiday World on Friday. We spent the first couple hours in the water park, riding some cool water coasters until that section closed and we headed to the dry side, ready to hit some roller coasters.
