The problem with outbound signal-based sales is that your competitors have the same signals
When signals are popularized, they become monotonous. You stand out when you are unique. This means you need creativity and messaging that cuts through the noise.
You can use AI to scale outbound by doing more quickly, but having authentic and creative messaging remains a moat. Leveraging hard to find data, interesting personalization, are things your competitors cant copy as easily.
Leverage AI for Scale. Need authenticity to cut through the noise.
Example, SDR job posting signal. Played out
@codyschneider do you do clicks first and move into leads with that format?
Also how are you staying out of the learning phase, most software leads are north of $100
I remember trying to learn how to code. Learning python and SQL to make myself able to analyze large data sets before AI.
I remember people telling me it was a waste of time don't need to learn it to succeed. Which was true I didn't need to.
Subjecting myself to learning that made learning codex/claude a lot easier. By just having an understanding of whats possible when coding it has had incredible for me
@lthlnkso@ericadamsfornyc Mamdani is an exceptional communicator. I follow trends in NYC with little attention. But he makes it so easy to follow along with what's going in through great comms that it feels like we are making more progress.
If people promoted themselves like recruiters do you would have a job by now.
The amount of recruiters who reach out to me vs. people actually apply to the job is lopsided.
Every job I've ever gotten has been a result of persistence through cold outreach. Not enough people do this.
If you want to bootstrap a business and want the cheapest CAC and lowest op ex risk. Do channels with no middlemen.
Cold call, cold email, and SEO
(yes meta is a middle man)
Yes, they all work you just need to put more effort in to figure them out
These services that are paying millions for company data. Like Troveo
Could introduce a new model for businesses with high product/consumer bases.
A Freemium model with enterprise contracts to AI labs that pay for consumer data live autonomously.
This already happens, but will become mainstream without brokers
This is true but product moat in SAAS is drying up fast across the board. I have 10 new competitors to fend off every month.
Having a good DTC product that delivers on product quality is an underated moat.
Also because speed to build is fast selling becomes harder. All that being said, can't be mad at 20k MRR bootstrapped good stuff!
