@nhinrichsen96 Somebody using a pump with no injection experience might think differently because pumps only deliver short-acting insulin (with a basal rate spread over the day by the pump). Even so, it’s an ignorant comment
@nhinrichsen96 Background insulin is also known as basal - it’s the bare minimum needed for functioning (breathing, organs, heart beating, etc) before any insulin is needed for meals. Essential, not convenient.

Been interesting seeing responses to my tweet about the Herald-Sun & Bolt. Now quite convinced a lot of the racist stuff on here comes from organised trolls. They come in waves lasting 10-15 mins., always with similar follower numbers, similar language. Don't think it's genuine.
Why does the ABC lean so hard on columnists from this company for economic and political opinion, when the rest of us know it's not wearing any clothes? #auspol https://t.co/0CXaMgdEjS
Activism is hard, but black activism is even harder. It requires that you motivate whole populations on issues that impact on just 3% of the population.
We rely on white Australians to amplify black issues and that’s a reality for anyone who has ever tried to amplify the pain of black people.
White people react more; when white people amplify black pain.
Equality will always be a challenge when it remains the responsibility of the oppressed, those with the least power; the least privilege to fix a problem created by the oppressor.
To challenge systems to change that have always benefitted the most privileged creates fear. A sugar high of racism generated by this confected idea of the loss of human rights; to somehow be at risk of being stolen by those who have less rights and are simply trying to level out the playing field.

@MoistenedTart Every kid adjusts in their own way, pretty much on their own timeline (tho some days the parents of a city feel a memo has gone out to all children to act in the same way from 3am). You’re doing it right: warmth, love, reassurance
