OTD 2015 the #LasVegas Strip lost another icon as Riviera Hotel closed forever. It had opened in 1955 as the first high-rise on the Strip. Two implosions in 2016 would bring the #Vegas property down.

We're poolside at the luxurious Tropicana Hotel #LasVegas back in the 50s. A lovely half-circle pool with piped in underwater music (a "modern innovation")! And the snack bar was top notched!
