50 years. The Jubilee year.
In the Bible, every 50th year was declared a Jubilee. The name comes from the Hebrew word yōḇel, meaning the ram's horn that was blown across the land to announce a new beginning. It was a year of freedom, restoration, and celebration.
Debts were forgiven. Slaves were set free. Families were reunited with their ancestral land. It was a fresh start, a reminder that after years of waiting, restoration would finally come.
So why talk about the Jubilee year?
Because, ladies and gentlemen... even though Arsenal didn't have to wait 50 years, after years of near misses, heartbreak and perseverance, they too experienced their own season of restoration.
It's been 50 days since Arsenal were crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions.
On August 21, I’ll conclude my 12-year tenure as Chairman of UBA; upon the completion of the maximum 12-year tenure prescribed for Non-Executive Directors of Banks by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Today, the most difficult assignment for a litigation Advocate is explaining a ridiculous decision to the client.
I write to the client telling him that the application for judgment, for want of a defense against the Land Registrar, which was unopposed, was dismissed. He calls, “Wakili sielewi.”
I think quickly and remember what a Maasai client told me about a matter. “The Judge has said that your case is too good to be heard by one Judge. It will now be heard by three Judges”, his Advocate told him. He came to understand that they had lost at the High Court five years later when the appeal was determined. Do not laugh.
“Judge amesema hiyo kesi ni mzuri sana. Anataka awaone face to face kabla atuambie kwamba wale jama ni wezi wa shamba” I told him. He seemed satisfied. It was the equivalent of saying that the Court determined that there is a triable issue notwithstanding the fact that the case is undefended. These are the problems we go through because Judges have refused to apply the law.
There are 66 books in the Bible.
The Bible is divided into two parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament.
There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament.
But today, I want you to pay attention to the 39 books of the Old Testament.
I know some of you are wondering why.
Because today marks 39 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.
No longer driven primarily by medals or records, two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge sees running as a vehicle to promote sportsmanship and inspire future generations to realize their full potential.
A HEART OF GRATITUDE | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN
To my beloved Koinonia Global family,
My heart is filled with gratitude to God and to every one of you. Thank you for the overwhelming expressions of love, honour, prayers, and generosity shown to me on the occasion of my birthday.
The Scripture declares, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" (Philippians 1:3). Those words aptly capture the posture of my heart. Every prayer offered, every sacrifice made, every act of service, and every expression of honour has been received with deep appreciation.
From Nigeria to the nations of the earth, your messages, gifts, prayers, and kind words have been a profound reminder that the body of Christ is united not merely by geography, but by the fellowship of the Spirit. I do not take your love for granted.
More than your kindness toward me, I am grateful for your unwavering commitment to the purposes of God. This vision has never been about the exaltation of a man, but about the revelation of Jesus Christ, the advancement of His Kingdom, and the raising of a people who will walk in the fullness of God's counsel for their generation. Thank you for believing in this divine assignment and for labouring faithfully alongside us.
I especially honour the fathers of faith, ministers of the Gospel, my contemporaries and fellow labourers in the vineyard, our partners, and the entire Koinonia Global family across the nations. Your support, encouragement, and prayers remain invaluable.
My prayer for you is that the Lord Himself will reward your labour of love. May He remember your sacrifices, strengthen your hands, enlarge your influence, and raise helpers to stand with you in the pursuit of His purpose.
As we continue this journey together, let us remain steadfast in our pursuit of Jesus Christ. May our lives continually reflect His character, proclaim His truth, and advance His Kingdom until the whole earth is filled with the knowledge of His glory.
Thank you once again for your love, your prayers, and your unwavering support.
With sincere love and abiding gratitude,
Apostle Joshua Selman

Jesus didn’t ask, “How will we feed 5,000?” He simply blessed the five loaves and two fish. Trust Him to bless what you have and provide what you need.
