I was mass DMing strangers for 9 months.
Then I wrote about something I was embarrassed to admit.
That post got me more leads than 9 months of pitching.
The guru playbook got me:
- 150+ cold DMs sent per week
- Dozens of sales calls
- Months of "valuable" content
I spent a year doing everything they said.
And I wanted to puke the whole time.
I once shipped a post I was embarrassed by.
Half-baked idea. Clunky writing. Posted anyway.
It outperformed my โperfectโ posts.
Not because it was messy.
because it was true.
โCleanโ doesnโt build trust. Specific does.
Somebody out there is Googling "how to start a business" for the third year in a row.
Somebody else started one last month with no clue what they were doing.
Guess which one will be profitable soon.
Most people never build their first digital product.
They're paralyzed by the idea that it needs to be perfect, massive, or complicated.
So they never start.
They wait.
And scroll.
And consume content about other people making money instead of making it themselves.
Most people never make their first $1 online.
Because they're obsessing over how to make $1M.
Funnels.
Launches.
Complex tech stacks.
Six-figure blueprints.
Start with $1.
Then worry about $1M.
Everyone's waiting for the perfect blueprint to build their first product.
It doesn't exist.
Your situation is too specific for someone else's playbook.
You're going to figure it out yourself anyway.
Pick a problem you've already solved for yourself
๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฎ: Talk to 20 people who have that problem
๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฏ: Build a simple solution
๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฐ: Make it stupid easy to buy
Stop waiting. Start building.
Most people get stuck trying to pick the perfect business idea.
In the end, you'll need traffic no matter what idea you choose.
Start by figuring out how to generate traffic and let those people guide you to your idea.
How to earn a living online:
1. Build trust with high-quality content.
2. Talk to people about their problems.
3. Create a simple solution for them.
4. Make it really easy to buy.
5. Deliver real results.
AI can teach you anything now.
It can't tell you what it felt like to fail at something for 3 years.
It can't share a lesson it learned the hard way.
It can't have a worldview.
That's why personal brand isn't dead.
It's more valuable than ever.
AI can write everything I write.
Faster. Cleaner. No typos.
But it wasn't there for my first year on LinkedIn.
The bad hooks. The posts no one read. The $0 months.
That's the content people actually remember.
