@Jeremy_Eckl01@GoBlueorGoHome6@clarkisking1 It’s sad that you guys have had basically zero success in the last decade that a go ahead home run to win game two of the wild card series that you ended up losing was “magical”
The lengths to which cops will go to catch a random wage slave going 15 mph over the speed limit and issue them a $150 ticket, instead of patrolling black neighborhoods (13% of the population who make up 50% of the crimes btw)
@CentertonCards Completely agree. Baseball is just different. It’s a different sport. Either you understand it or you don’t. There are so many different things in baseball that no other sports relate to.
A rant...
The NFL cannot do this. The NBA cannot do this. Only baseball. THIS is what baseball is about. Grabbing a bunch of friends, jumping on our bikes, going down to the local park and playing. Every adult has had these memories to look back on. Neither the NFL nor the NBA, can put together a piece of nostalgia like this that would resonate. Yes, I played football in an open field, basketball on the local court, as a kid. But baseball, baseball was special. The MLB All Star game is the best mid-season (ish) exhibition of stars in any major sport. Baseball brings us back to our youth more so than any other sport. Whether or not you played in school or college, baseball connects with us for the rest of our lives. Last night's piece of nostalgia brought all that back, for me.
@Hardpard The “Every All Star gets a card!” could actually be done correctly if they didn’t drop 95% of the all star cards before the festivities even begun
