@benjaminseguy is now live from University Hospitals of Bordeaux with a complex calcified LAD PCI at #TIOCongress 2026.
An 85-year-old active patient undergoes orbital atherectomy with intracoronary imaging, as faculty discuss calcium modification strategy and optimisation in complex coronary intervention.
Chair @drnvanmieghem is joined by @Mo_A_W and Rui Campante Teles for the discussion live.

How to optimize your rotational atherectomy results ? In this work the FRIT operators investigated in vitro the impact of polishing runs duration and speed on final debulking efficacy. #rotablator@deharo_pierre@HontonB@EBressollette@benjaminseguy

@EricTopol@drjohnm From the ICU/CCU bedside, I sometimes see a different cohort. I can't help but think a prior CAC might have flagged some of my complex CAD/CS patients earlier than a sub-maximal stress test did. Our clinical perspectives can shape our views on a test's utility ?
Musk
"In interventional cardiology we will use the metric system to measure things."
"Like catheter diameters Sir?"
"No - those we will measure using French sizes."
"What about wires Sir?"
"We will measure those in inches"
"Why Sir?"
"No one knows"
Just presented at TCT and published in NEJM by @PhilGenereuxMD showing superiority of early TAVR in asymptomatic
severe AS. This trial will change the guidelines !
Following the successful completion of our Global ShortCut Pivitol study, we are absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our Continued Access study for ShortCut in the U.S. 🚀
A huge shoutout to Dr. @SaibalKar , Dr. Gregory Fontana, and the amazing team at 🏥 @Los_RoblesCA for kicking off this new chapter. They performed the first two ShortCut cases in the study on patients with very challenging anatomies, including failed Trifecta and Magna Ease valves at risk of coronary obstruction. Both patients were treated successfully with a dual leaflet split using the ShortCut device, enabling a safe TAVR.
This expansion of our clinical program allows us to gather even more valuable insights. Here’s to reaching more patients and making a difference! ✨
