been building an app for 6 months.
im a non-technical guy, fully vibe coding stuff.
from app development, branding, design, frontend, backend, everything.
will let you know once im done. in the meantime enjoy the ride.
i think most people overcomplicate warming up an account.
started a new account and 2 days after uploaded my first video and got around 700 views.
the secret?
i just did stuff.
there was no "routine", do 20-30 likes, etc.
i did used an iOS phone tho, so there's that.
after building my first two apps (second app WIP), i think a few lessons are:
> build for iOS first
> just use capacitor for cross-platform dev
> while waiting for stores approval start pushing for a few tiktoks to test out people's reaction
> as soon as possible get a waitlist website up and out
> always go for the laziest option. usually it's the most cost effective one
> prioritize offline apps, the type of apps that don't need of an online DB or scrapers to maintain or paid APIs
> always prefer open source options, keep your cost tight
if you're struggling with google play showing your address, just buy a virtual address instead.
don't even bother putting together an LLC. stuff will take days, cost you a few hundred bucks, for what.
like at least get your app out, maybe make some cash then setup the LLC.
got a long ass email from play console basically saying that even if after registration i decide that my app isn't going to have any paid stuff, i can't just "undo" and remove my personal address from showing up in the app.
only way is to create a new account, fill a form for a refund of the 25 bucks that i spent on the original and move the app over.
ain't doing all that BS when i can just buy a virtual address at my name for like 15 bucks.
i still don't get why the f*ck play console shows your whole address.
not even the app store does it as far as im concern?
