@MrFreeman1984 Ah what every parent says before then getting a dog, a lesson in the difference between survey responses and actual purchasing behaviour!
@Tolcarne57 @robjoe11 @SamCoatesSky No but individuals do pay vat on their purchases and the poorer you are, the higher proportion of you income is spent (not saved) so this part of the overall tax burden disproportionately impacts the poorest. No?
@Tolcarne57 @robjoe11 @SamCoatesSky Hi Dave - genuine question - those tax payment ratios - where are they from? and which taxes are included- just income or are rates, vat etc included? I see so many figures in this area and hard to parse them as a novice.
@Aiannucci I think she is asking us outside? Not normally my thing, but increasingly I am inclined to stand up and fight Tories and in the perpetual absence of PR, I think fisticuffs may be the next fairest election method - better than FTFP- So yes, bring it Mordant!
Surprise: Europe regulates for citizens interests, US de-regulates for corporate interests and Britain uses newfound sovereignty to straddle these two by pretending to do the former while actually doing the latter. #emperorsnewthreads#brexitmicrocosm https://t.co/PXxn2JPBj6
@morvc Morven, that’s where THE MAN sits, if you want to stick it to THE MAN you gotta go to where THE MAN is at. Having said that am now removing my safety pins and settling in for antiques roadshow
The question is: which Britain’s need to accept it? Nurses at food banks or those earning over £100,00? Could we not, (for once) see this the ideal moment for addressing our wealth inequality problem and shift the burden up? https://t.co/c4OZ9se9yg
@HarrietMould On it! Seized the “Nation enraptured” moment with a double hit - Quiet weekend B&Q then Quiet weekend IKEA. Smashing the coronation Bank Holiday!
@UKLabour Attack ads on crime? Really!? Just point to the bin fire and say “we will put out the bin fire” No need to stoop - You don’t need to become a Tory to beat a Tory.
Well, glad that is resolved. Awkward for a moment there - but we are all now happy that Gary is back doing to footie … and presumably also happy to accept what has just been tacitly agreed to be an inhumane, cruel and nazi-esque immigration policy for our country?
