“I think he would’ve been such a changemaker beyond the football field. I think he would’ve changed my perspective in life...” - Jackie Taylor shares her thoughts on her late father Sean Taylor.

Jackie Taylor isn’t just freshman middle hitter for @UNCVolleyball . She’s the daughter of a legend. A clumsy kid, Jackie didn’t even try sports until she was a teenager. Even then, she was no Sean Taylor. Through hard work, dedication, & perseverance she led Gulliver prep to its first ever State Championship as her dad did for their football program.

Jackie tells @Realrclark25 @FredTaylorMade @OfficialCrowder why she chose UNC, & wears her father’s famed #21. She is focused on her own legacy, but knows she carriers on her father’s as well. She’s comfortable representing Sean in front of massive crowds, & even shared a quote from one of his playbooks with the Gulliver prep faithful when the football field was dedicated to him. She wishes her & her dad had a life together, but realizes how blessed she is to have grown up with her siblings, her mom, & mom’s husband who she calls “dad” in a house full of love.

Ryan, a close friend to Sean and teammates reminisces with Chan and Fred as the 3 guys share memories, laughs, tears, & hugs with Jackie about her dad. So, grab your tissues because this one is a tear jerker.

Sean Taylor was “Him”, & we knew it from the beginning of training camp. The world found out during the 2004 Hall of Fame game.

I was already a fan of the super human safety from the U, but seeing him up close was different. When the lights cut on he turned into the most dominant human in the stadium, & that’s exactly what we learned that night. @LaVarArrington, was already a freak of nature pro bowler at the time, & after Sean’s pick 6 he ran down the sideline screaming…. “WE GOT ONE!”

Dancehall star Vybz Kartel is free. The Court of Appeal just ruled that he and three co-accused should not be retried for murder. Freedom, a day before Jamaica celebrates Emancipation Day, caps an almost 13-year journey of arrests, trial, convictions, and a successful appeal.

Thank you to those special people who made our 2nd annual bookbag giveaway a great success! Huge momentum but a small step in the leap we want to take in elevating and empowering the importance of education and coming together to provide everyone with the tools necessary to soar.

Udonis Haslem on overlooked Miami Heat: Whatever... It might not be the sexiest. We ain't got nobody out here scoring 85 points in one game but we're winning basketball games as a team. Sorry to everyone in the basketball world that isn't sexy enough for you.
